   1. First, we do not remember
   2. Second, we do not live
   3. Third, we do not believe
3. HOW DO WE TELL?
   1. First, we tell what we have heard and known
   2. Second, we tell more than stories
4. WHAT WILL OUR CHILDREN LOOK LIKE?

Deuteronomy 6:4-7
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.

Psalm 68:5 (ESV)
Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation.

Psalm 78:11
They forgot his works and the wonders that he had shown them.

Psalm 78:42
They did not remember his power or the day when he redeemed them from their foe.

Psalm 78:18-19
They tested God in their heart by demanding the food they craved. They spoke against God, saying, “Can God spread a table in the wilderness?”

Psalm 78:32
In spite of all this, they still sinned. Despite his wonders, they did not believe.

Psalm 78:22
because they did not believe in God and did not trust his saving power.

Psalm 78:3
things that we have heard and known, that our fathers have told us.

Psalm 78:35-36
They remembered that God was their rock, the Most High God their redeemer. But they flattered him with their mouths; they lied to him with their tongues.

so that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments
