1 Peter | God is not preparing this generation to be successful or affluent, but to endure; and to endure in such a way that we proclaim and take hold of the excellencies of Christ.

The WORD, that is the gospel about Jesus the Christ, is the ever present character that runs like a thread through the fabric of the establishment and spread of the church.

What if generosity,
toward one another,
toward our community,
toward the mission of the church,
and among the missionaries of the world,
a. … becomes a means by which God would
remove the deceitfulness of riches from us
b. … that we would be prepared and
engaged in the proclamation of the
excellencies of Christ no matter where w
are scattered.

Acts 7:58
Then they cast him out of the city and stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their garments at the feet of a young man named Saul.

Acts 7:54
Now when they heard these things they were enraged, and they ground their teeth at him.

Acts 1:8
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

Acts 2:41
So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.

Acts 4:4
But many of those who had heard the word believed, and the number of the men came to about five thousand.

Acts 4:29
And now, Lord, look upon their threats and grant to your servants to continue to speak your word with all boldness …

Acts 6:4
But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.

Acts 6:7
_And the word of God continued to increase, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem _

Genesis 12:2–3
And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.

Mark 4:19
… but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it proves unfruitful.
