v30-32 - THE MESSAGE WHICH THE WITNESSES PROCLAIM

1. God raised Jesus
2. God exalted Jesus as Leader and Savior
3. Jesus gives repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins
4. We are witnesses

When the Spirit’s wind blew, the apostles’ proclamation of the death and resurrection of Jesus became the abundant and substantial fuel source such that the fire is still burning in our hearts and in our community to this day!

I look at the church and I wonder if our greater problem, even in the present cultural moment, is not external authorities, but internal priorities.

Acts 1:8
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

1 Thessalonians 2:2–4
But though we had already suffered and been shamefully treated at Philippi, as you know, we had boldness in our God to declare to you the gospel of God in the midst of much conflict. For our appeal does not spring from error or impurity or any attempt to deceive, but just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not to please man, but to please God who tests our hearts.

Acts 3:13–15
The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified his servant Jesus, whom you delivered over and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release him. But you denied the Holy and Righteous One, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, and you killed the Author of life, whom God raised from the dead. To this we are witnesses.

If it comes down to a choice between Minister Eggen who says I cannot use the words male and female in my policy, or Jesus Christ who said from the beginning of creation, he made them male and female. If we need to line up with Minister Eggen or with Jesus Christ, the choice is very clear.
